Tuesday is the first day of Glorious Goodwood and Boynton will take on War Decree, in the G2 Vintage Stakes. Aidan O’Brien’s American colt gets the nod, following a terrific run in the G2 Newmarket Superlative Stakes (2nd) after scoring on debut at Leopardstown.

The G2 Lennox Stakes (view full preview) is the feature race with Dutch Connection and Home Of The Brave dominating the betting. Birchwood, under Ryan Moore, has the ability to beat both however. Richard Fahey’s charge showed immense grit when rallying to hold off a strong challenge from Sovereign Debt in the Listed City Plate (Chester).

Over in Ireland, both Karalara and Ashraf will represent Dermot Weld, in the Colm Quinn Mile Handicap. Karalara looks to have the edge and the capability to win this encounter. The Shamardal filly ran like a seasoned-pro, when comfortably beating Gabardine at Navan and she looks a very progressive sort.
