Gworn Can Grab Victory, Again
Monday’s UK racing takes place at Ayr, Wolverhampton, Ffos Las and Windsor. The 4.30 at Ayr is a Class 3 1m 2f handicap and was won by Gworn, last year. The Aussie Rules gelding returns, this time off a lower mark and can follow-up.
The opener at Wolverhampton (2.15) is for 2-year-olds. Moonlit Show put is a decent showing, on debut at Windsor, finishing 3rd behind Tropical Rock and Mum’s The Word. Golden Easter should also go close.
Kummiya To Chalk-Up Another Charlton Win
The 8.00 at Ffos Las is a 1m handicap and Roger Charlton’s Kummiya looks capable of making it 2 wins on the bounce. The form of his Nottingham win is working out nicely and Kieran Shoemark again claims 3lb.
Windsor’s 7.50 appears to be between Rock Steady and Roger Varian’s Absolute Zero. The latter should just have the edge, despite carrying a penalty.
There are 7 races at Ballinrobe, including an excellent handicap hurdle at 7.10. Buyer Beware and Walkabout will both represent Gordon Elliott, although Duke Cass is expected to hold sway. He won impressively, at Sligo and can just about defy a 7lb rise.
