Get ready for action at Ludlow, Southwell, Carlisle and Chelmsford City. The 3:00pm at Ludlow looks the day’s most-interesting contest and it features the likes of Going For Broke, Valhalla and Gary Moore’s Darebin.
Ireland
There are 7 encounters, at Thurles, where the 4:30pm includes a number of very-useful runners. Both Charmix and Lieutenant Colonel will represent Gordon Elliott’s yard, but Noel Meade’s Monksland looks the one they all have to beat.
South Africa
The first of 9 races, at Vaal (11:50am), is a 5f sprint for maidens. Captain My Captain, a gelding trained by Mike de Kock, looks like getting off the mark soon but Roy Magner’s Sweet Trial has also shown ability and could thwart him today.
France
There are meetings at both Angers and Maisons-Laffitte, but the top-class races are taking place at Toulouse a little later. Julien Auge will be on-board Almaa, in the G2 Breeders’ Challenge Classic (4:40pm), before Hajres takes on Goumoh and Rodess Du Loup in the G2 Breeders’ Challenge-Poulains (5:10pm). Wadeeaa and Didier Guillemin’s Joudh both feature in the G2 Breeders’ Challenge-Pouliches (5:40pm), while Thomas Fourcy’s Zikreet and Jabal Kassyoun both go in the G2 Breeders’ Challenge Sprint (6:10pm).
India
The main event at Delhi is the Champion Sprinters Cup (11:30am). Ashwa Manjri, Shivalika and Godstouch should all go into the stalls, for this valuable 6f handicap.
