We are already halfway through the week and here are the races to watch-out for, on Wednesday.
UK
There are meetings at Ludlow, Nottingham, Towcester and Kempton. The biggest purse of the day will be shared in the 3:00pm, at Ludlow, where Braqueur D’Or goes for Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson sends out Forever Field. This looks like being an exciting encounter, with most of the big yards having a representative.
Ireland
Gowran Park hosts 8 contests and the curtain-raiser is a 1m maiden, for 2-year-olds (1:50pm). Aidan O’Brien’s Giuseppe Garibaldi makes his eagerly-anticipated debut, while Jim Bolger’s Dawn Arrival is expected to improve upon a lacklustre first outing. Saracen Knight looks the one to beat, however.
South Africa
There are 8 races at Durbanville and the opener is a 6f maiden, at 12:05pm. Love Of India, What A Summer and Vaughan Marshall’s Red Eight can all be expected to feature in the shake-up.
France
Chantilly‘s meeting includes the Prix de la Galerie des Cerfs, at 12:25pm. This is a 6f sprint, for 3-year-olds and Christophe Soumillon will partner Stéphane Wattel’s City Light. There are a further 8 contests, at Toulouse.
Hong Kong
Head for Happy Valley where some absorbing handicaps will be taking place, from 12:15pm. Zac Purton will be on-board Forever Fun, in the opener.
