There’s another busy day, for racing fans to look forward to. Here are the meetings to watch out for, on Wednesday.
UK
Action takes place at Salisbury, Bangor, Kempton and Nottingham. The 4:10pm, at Salisbury, is a Class 2 handicap and this could well be the best race of the day. Jim Crowley rides Richard Hannon’s Almoreb and opposition comes from the likes of Master Carpenter and Ayrad.
Ireland
Just one meeting is being held today. There are 7 contests at Naas and the 4:15pm is an interesting maiden, for 2-year-olds. London Icon looked very handy, on debut at the Curragh and is the hot-favourite. The well-bred Hypnotic Force might just cause a surprise though, on her first day at school.
South Africa
The first of Durbanville‘s 8 encounters gets underway, at 1:20pm. Ostinato has been the bridesmaid, on her 3 previous outings. She’ll be backed by many, to finally score this afternoon.
France
It’s a massive day at Saint-Cloud, where spectators will be eagerly anticipating several big races. The include the G2 Prix Glorieuse (11:55am), the Listed Prix Scaramouche (1:05pm), the Listed Prix Dahlia (1:35pm) and the G3 Prix Thomas Bryon (2:05pm). British raiders will be out in force! Toulouse opens with the Listed Prix Panacée (3:35pm) and it’s not easy to look beyond Jean-Claude Rouget’s Hebah.
