To take a trip up to Ayr for most jockeys it certainly isn’t a nip around the corner and the fact top jockey Tom Scudamore travels all this way for just one ride is certainly eye-catching. He climbs aboard Queens Cave who only just tasted defeat for the first time when finishing a very close 2nd in a highly competitive race at Sandown. She takes her first step over obstacles in this decent looking hurdles event but this six year old mare looks to have a touch of class and is worth siding with.
Recent winners Hidden Dilemma and Peters Cousin both have experience on their side with success over hurdles and that potentially could be a telling factor but David Pipe’s lightly raced runner seems to have bags of potential that could well and truly be on show this afternoon.

Just the six runners aiming to take this novice hurdles event but what a competitive affair we have in store with at least half the field having very viable chances.
Both Two For Gold and Know The Score were victorious in their most recent outings and both won by a combined 15 lengths and both look to improve. They did what they had to do but it’s the Warren Greatrex trained Trio To Rio who gets the vote. Partnered by Richard Johnson is a huge plus and this course and distance winner has had his form franked. A 5th places finish in a Grade 2 event is far from disappointing and on paper this horse has achieved far more than today’s rivals. A step up in trip and on slightly better ground seems to also be advantageous and Trio To Rio looks to get back to winning ways.
