It may just be a 7 runner Novice race on the All Weather but with many big yards represeted there is a chance it could throw up something quite useful.
Beckett, Osbourne, Dunlop, Gosden and Appleby are illustrious names in the world of flat racing and all saddle a representative in this nine and a half furlong contest. Both Elisheba and Hen aim to improve on their opening fifth placed efforts and are likely to do so. This looks slightly more competitive than their initial contests though with now with a run under their belts a much better showing is likely. The issue they may have however is Dawn Crusade who potentially is very good.
The Dawn Approach filly certainly caught the eye when finishing runner up at Lingfield. She hung badly and threw away her chance entering the closing stages but will have certainly learnt an abundance from that outing. With trainer Charlie Appleby in blistering form this winter (53% winning strike rate the past 14 days) expect Dawn Crusader to take all the beating.
