The Gary Moore team have started the jumps campaign in fine fettle and have really came to the fore in the last few weeks. That form shows no signs of slowing down and they have another great chance of landing the spoils in this one with Dell Oro. The 6yo ran a corker in defeat behind the supremely talented Glen Forsa last time out at Kempton and that is by far the best form on offer over the larger obstacles. He can gain compensation for that early season promise and should be poised to strike here. The main danger to the selection will likely come from the Tom George trained Stamp your Feet, who has some smart hurdling form to his name, but as yet he has not transferred that to the larger obstacles. The form of the Tom George yard, in general, would also be a worry and so the Gary Moore horse gets the nod.

Brian Meehan’s 6yo Take the Helm looks the one to be on this afternoon. The horse landed a valuable handicap prize at last year’s all weather championships and had a solid seasonal return outing last time out when third to Salateen over a mile. He steps back to his preferred 7f distance today and that run will have him primed in terms of fitness for this one. He remains on a workable mark and this looks far less competitive than the level he has previously won at, meaning he is the clear choice to land this prize today.
Top weight Keyser Soze, for the Richard Spencer yard, will likely be the main danger as he looks to follow up last month’s success over the re-opposing Areen Heart and Swift Approval, but he has been raised 5lb for that win and the selection may be better handicapped.
