Horse Racing Tips For Champ De Mars, Mauritius, Saturday 5th November

There’s another cracking card to look forward to, at Champ de Mars on Saturday. Here are our race-by-race predictions…

Race #1

Jullidar has been knocking on the door and can finally kick it open in the curtain-raiser. The drop back down in trip should suit and Merven’s inmate can get the better of both Young Royal and Duke The Duke.

Race #2

Prince George proved a touch too warm for Red Hot poker, last time out in the Associated Brokers Cup, although his adversary was probably running-on the stronger of the pair. Moi Power looks the main danger, but Hurchund’s runner looks to be progressing well in this campaign and can win again over this longer distance.

#Race 3

Hot Rocket looks primed to fire again, in the Avioservizi Trophy. It’s ben almost a year since this horse last tasted victory (in the Mitavite Trophy, over the same trip). 2nd and 4th place finishes were achieved in September and the 9-year-old can pick-up an 8th victory here.

Race #4

Stick with Super Glue, in the Navis Trophy. Gujadhur’s charge has finished either 1st or 2nd at the last 3 times of asking and has the versatility to get home over this tricky distance. Candy Rock looks the most-likely threat, although the Ramdin-trained runner has plenty to find.

Race #5

A small field will contest the Flynt International Forwarders Trophy and it’s hard to look beyond Rousset’s Prince Of Thieves. He certainly stole a march on his rivals in the home straight, last time out, winning the Bacchanale Racing Day Challenge Cup with ease. Memphis Mafia should get the best view of him.

This should be a breeze for Parachute Man, in another contest that does not boast a big field. The Maingard-trained runner will be looking to make it 4 straight victories in a row and only Diamond Light looks capable of keeping him honest here.

Race #7

The Transglobal Trophy will be a much more competitive affair and a head-scratcher for many punters. Prince Of Arabia is the tentative pick, following a good display when runner-up in the Market Restaurant Trophy last month. The 5-year-old enjoys this trip and can kick sand in the faces of both Seeking The Dream and Cula.

Race #8

The last race on the card is likely to see Shield Of Thunder and League Of Legends cross swords, as they round the bend. League Of Legends has the better recent form and should just prove too strong, in what could well be the encounter of the day.

Good luck with your bets!
