The 82nd renewal of this famous race gets this season’s German Racing Champions League underway and Freddy Head is bringing over a French raider, in the shape of Tres Rock Glory.

Other horses look more likely to be basking in adulation though, by the time this contest reaches its conclusion and Markus Klug will be represented by a brace of useful inmates. Both Kasalla and Dschingis Secret can be expected to go close.

Jean-Pierre Carvalho’s Savoir Vivre looks the one to beat, however. Filip Mnarik will be on-board the runner-up in last season’s Derby.

Klug also has Millowitsch and Degas running for him, in this 1-mile Listed encounter which looks fairly open.
