Donald McCain

It’s been a pretty good week at Bankhouse with Carry On and See The Sea winning on Monday. Then on Wednesday Navajo Pass battled well to deservedly shed his maiden tag at Carlisle. He’s a nice horse and I’m looking forward to sending him over hurdles.

Just the three runners this weekend at Cartmel and Goodwood but the two at Cartmel would have good chances so I’m looking forward to going racing. You can read my thoughts on the runners below:

Bannixtown Glory
Track: Cartmel – 2:50
Jockey: Brian Hughes

She won nicely at Worcester and this trip should be right up her street. The ground is a little bit softer than ideal but she is tough and hardy, so she’ll cope and I’d like to think she has every chance.

Track: Cartmel – 5:10
Jockey: Brian Hughes

This is a tough race with some Cartmel specialist in there and is probably slow enough for her but she doesn’t have many options. I think the tight left-handed tracks really suit here and she’s got every chance.

Watch And Learn
Track: Goodwood – 2:30
Jockey: Franny Norton

There is a couple with higher ratings in this but they have been running over shorter and it’s for three-year-olds only so I said we’d take our chance. It’s 15K if they get claimed and 15K prize-mone so it’s worth running and she should go well.

Best Chance: Bannixtown Glory
