I had hoped to have a runner or two at trials day at Cheltenham but for one reason and another, it hasn’t quite worked out, Navajo Pass was going to go for the Triumph Hurdle Trial but he banged his joint the other day which meant we couldn’t run but thankfully there is no real harm done. So it’s a rare “free” Saturday for the Bankhouse team. However, we send four horses to Sedgefield on Sunday where we must have a chance of bringing home a winner.
She needs to start showing something on the track as her two hurdles runs have been disappointing. Obviously, her future will probably be in handicaps so once she gets a mark she may find her level.
She didn’t show a lot at Ludlow on her first run for us but she did have some decent form in Irish point-to-points, so fingers crossed she shows us a bit more.
He ran well here the last day and the for has worked out pretty well. The track and trip should be perfect for him and Philip rode him the last day and is good value for his seven pounds. All of that must give him an each-way chance.
He’s a horse that has been disappointing thus far this season but I think he’s starting to come right and I’d be hopeful of a better run.
