Donald McCain Blog – Sunday Runners

Donald McCain

It’s a pretty quiet weekend with just the four runners on Sunday but that’s just the time the year. The horses continue to run well which is fantastic and we might just be able to add to our growing tally this weekend.

Horse: Smoki Smoka
Track: Stratford – 2:25
Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

He’s been quite disappointing on the flat to be fair, so we are just going to run him over hurdles and hope that he shows us a bit more. Hopefully, we can make a plan after that.

Horse: Two Blondes
Track: Stratford – 2:25
Jockey: Will Kennedy

I think he must have a chance given that the form of his race looks good and he should come on from the experience. He’s must have an obvious chance.

Horse: Middlebrow
Track: Perth – 4:25
Jockey: Brian Hughes

He’s not in love with going that way around but it’s more over fences rather than hurdles so I hope he’ll be ok. I have tried him n novice hurdles a few times before and it hasn’t worked but he seems in good form and worth giving one more go.

Horse: Promise Of Peace
Track: Perth – 5:35
Jockey: Lorcan Murtagh

He’s been disappointing for us and there is a few in there with chances but he’s in the right grade and I’d be hoping he might get his head in front.

Best Chance: Two Blondes
