2:00 Cartago
Better than ever when 2nd to Imperial Aviator (a 13/2 chance for the French Derby) last month. Only raised 3lb by the handicapper and representing the dynamic duo of Gosden/Dettori, he sets a good standard and will prove tough to beat.
2:35 Sayana
This impeccably bred filly brings a high level of form from France. She is lightly raced, progressive and providing she handles the undulations of Epsom, should prove far too good for the opposition.
3:10 Postponed
A really good Group 1 race featuring one of my favourite horses in training. Postponed faces his stiffest test since winning the King George. He will handle the ground, loves this trip and can confirm himself as one of the world’s best horses.
3:45 Seeking Magic
In great form this term and has ran well in this race previously. Get’s a good draw today, is tactically versatile and has the assistance of Oisin Muprhy. He looks sure to run a very big race.
4:30 Ulysses
One of the most open looking Derby’s for a long time and tough to feel confident in backing any of the runners. However, a chance is taken on the Sir Michael Stoute trained Ulysses. He has improved with each run, has been ridden fairly gently on each occasion and has the scope for a big chunk of improvement.
