The G3 Dr. Busch-Memorial takes place in Germany, on Sunday at Krefeld! This is a 1-mile contest for 3-year-olds and an important pointer to the big G1 races that will take place later in the campaign. Our ante-post market is already live!

In the 2016 renewal, Markus Klug made an emphatic statement with Millowitsch winning and stablemate El Loco finishing runner-up.
The trainer has a trio of entries, this time around. Ming Jung looks well held, in this sort of company, but both Dia Del Sol and Colomano will both arrive at Krefeld with sound claims.
They will be taking on Andreas Suborics’ Fulminato and the Excelebration-sired horse’s chances can only be boosted by the booking of Andrasch Starke.
Langtang Looms Large
Andreas Wöhler’s Langtang looks the one to beat, however. The suspension of Eduardo Pedroza means that Jozef Bojko will be in the saddle of the likely favourite.
The race looks very-open though and cases can be made for Shinzaro, Dragon Lips and Wöhler’s second-string horse Kauttio.
This has all the makings of a very interesting encounter and the result will almost-certainly have ramifications for our other German ante-post markets.
Race History
Originally held at Hoppergarten, the race used to be known as the Preis von Dahlwitz. It has been a Krefeld fixture since 1950 and the name of this contest honours Max Busch, a former president of the racecourse.
G3 status was awarded in 1994, although it was relegated to being a Listed race from 1998-2000.
The legendary Heinz Jentzsch still casts a long shadow, over the Dr. Busch-Memorial. His incredible 12 victories were all achieved between 1964-1996.
